shoryLOVE is the stylish brainchild of former marc jacobs design director sloane gibney grossberg, who saw an opportunity to create the kind of softer, smarter, more organized bags that she wanted for herself but couldn’t find. it’s no secret that sloane passionate about two things: bags and dogs. so of course she named her business after shorty, the boston terrier who saw her through her marc jacobs years and her first sketches for shortyLOVE.

as sloane gibney grossberg will tell you herself, she falls hard for a better bag and feels fortunate to design them for a living. her desire to never let a bag slow her down has resulted in honing a line of plush, extremely lightweight bags that combine sleekness and style with wearable, everyday comfort, while offering the organization you’ve always wanted.

shortyLOVE launched as an online-only startup in 2019 — a scrappy kitchen-table business that had sloane doing it all in the beginning, from fielding customer calls to packing and shipping orders. although the business has grown by leaps and bounds since then, there are no plans to sell via retail. upon occasion, sloane will make her bags available at a pop-up events — follow us on instagram and facebook for announcements!

shortyLOVE bags are crafted inside and out of a high-quality nylon twill, carefully sourced for its remarkable softness, durability, water-resistance and luxurious sheen. it has the look of a high-end italian fabric without being outrageously spendy. our luxe hardware is constructed of high-quality metal with the exception of our stevie cosmetic bag, which has a sturdy vislon zipper — a better choice for potential spills and a steamy bathroom environment. exterior zipper pulls on all bags are of waxed cotton cord.

absolutely. shortyLOVE bags and straps are animal-friendly, made with synthetic and plant-derived materials. soft, stylish and designed to be wearable, they’re a great alternative to leather.

the interior of every shortyLOVE bag is designed with our signature blush nylon twill — not just because it looks amazing but because a light interior simplifies hunting for that elusive item. smart. also, unlikely to ever change. our collection comes in a range of exterior color choices that coordinate perfectly with our blush interior.

the durable, wipeable nylon twill of shortyLOVE bags was selected for its ability to stay looking fresh even with everyday use. spot-clean using a mild detergent and air dry — we find that a little soap, water and a cloth does just fine. we do not recommend machine washing or machine drying.

yes! we offer free shipping for orders within the united states.

it’s important to us that we get your order out right away and most customers can expect to receive their shortyLOVE orders within 3 to 5 business days. that said, we have no control over any delays our carriers might experience and luckily those are quite rare.

if you’re not happy with your shortyLOVE product, you can return or exchange it within 45 days from the date of your order. the item must be unused and be in its original condition with the tags intact and have proof of purchase to be eligible for return/exchange. you will be responsible for the shipping costs for returns. sale items are not eligible for refunds/exchanges. learn more about our return policy.
